By opting in to receive SMS messages from OpenMindXR, you agree to these SMS Terms.

1. Purpose of SMS Communications

OpenMindXR uses SMS only for one‑to‑one, operational communications related to research participation. Messages may include:

  • Scheduling or rescheduling research sessions
  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Follow‑up questions related to participation
  • Responses to inquiries initiated by you


OpenMindXR does not use SMS for marketing, promotions, or bulk messaging.

2. Opt‑In & Consent

You opt in to receive SMS messages from OpenMindXR when you:

  • Provide your mobile phone number during research intake or consent processes
  • Request to communicate with OpenMindXR via text message
  • Provide written or electronic consent to receive SMS communications


Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and not required to participate in research.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency is low volume and varies based on your research participation and communication needs. Messages are sent only when relevant to scheduling, coordination, or responding to your inquiries.

4. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and service plan. OpenMindXR is not responsible for any charges incurred by receiving SMS messages.

5. Opt‑Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying:

  • STOP

Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from OpenMindXR unless you choose to opt in again.
